naranara is a free, bilingual paper for overseas visitors to Nara. It is aimed at conveying a sense of what makes the place so special. The paper is produced in cooperation with of the people of Nara, and gives a true picture of what’s happening. Nara has a number of sites associated with the beginnings of Japanese culture. Traditional Japanese buildings and streets, and lifestyles, still exist here. There are large areas of countryside where people live in harmony with nature. It’s in such places that one can experience the uniqueness of Nara. In presenting all of this, we hope we can contribute, through tourism, to the development of Nara, and help discover fresh insights.
